We are currently seeking a junior laboratory technician to provide support for existing laboratory staff. The role is primarily to operate a range of analytical instruments, including routine maintenance, running of samples and reporting of results. The successful candidate will also be expected to assist in other general day-to-day activities covered by the laboratory.
The position would suit someone with GCSE “A” level qualifications in science although any relevant experience will also be considered.
Initially a part-time (permanent) position the successful candidate ideally should be flexible in the hours/days they are able to work to be able to provide cover and support to existing laboratory staff.
Whilst it is envisaged that the role will occupy approx. 2 days per week, this may be greater during the initial training period and may also develop into a more full-time position as the laboratory expands.
